The Expanding diet of a Toddler

We had a great evening last night when BoBo & JoJo came over for dinner and a visit. For those of you that don't understand the names, let me explain.

My brother and his wife (I am still getting used to saying that!) are fondly referred to at our house as BoBo and JoJo. Jody was referred to as JoJo by her first nephew and it just continued through her life as an Aunt. Since the name Brandon was so hard for an early talker to pronounce, Brandon just kinda received the name BoBo when Gavin started talking. Being his cool self, he has been a very good sport about it, only making a few comments about having the same name as a clown.

Anyway, they came to visit and were introduced to some new things in our home including the legendary, super speedy Race Car Bed. Do you have any doubt why we think Gavin has the coolest Aunt JoJo?? It was a raining cold and yucky day here weather-wise, so besides our daily outing to the Y, Gavin & I decided to stay at home today. We did some much needed housework and being the typical Two-year-old Gavin decided that he would give Mom some help.
Yes, that is the bottom tray of the dishwasher and yes, it is in the Living Room floor. Need I say more. . .

Now to explain and expand on the Title of my entry today. In the past couple days my son has started eating some more "grown up" foods. Dave & I have thoroughly enjoyed watching him expand his menu and eating skills. Last night he had fajitas with the rest of us and the past couple days he has developed a new liking for corn-on-the-cob, which he fondly refers to as "popcorn".

Now if we could just teach his Father to learn some manners when he eats. . .

Yes Dave, you may have the rest of the Banana Pudding, but please put in on your plate instead of eating out of the serving bowl!

The best part of our day: Would have to include one of the profound statements made by my Toddler today. While eating dinner tonight and having the typical discussion of our day Gavin pipes up and announces "Daddy, it's raining wet!". Yes son, it is raining wet. Outdoor play will have to wait.
